Clayton County Register, Thur., 13 Dec. 1934. Cox Creek column.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hines, Mrs. E. R. Collins and Noble Pugh attended the funeral of Mrs. Charles Fields at Monona last Friday. Mrs. Fields is a daughter of Mrs. Collins and a sister of Mrs. Hines and formerly resided in Monona. Her death followed an operation for stomach ulcers and occurred December 4th. Her home was in Mason City from where her body was brought to Monona for the funeral, which was held at 2 p.m. Friday with burial in the Monona cemetery.
