Mrs. Alice Albrecht died at her home in Mederville last Thursday morning, November 8, after a short illness.

She was born in New York City on July 2, 1860, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Leonard. In 1875 she came with her parents to Clayton county. On December 6, 1893 she married Alfred B. Albrecht and settled in Mederville.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Harry Kramer, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Meder of Tuttle, Oklahoma, two brothers Fred Leonard of Elkader, and Charles Leonard of Minneapolis, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a very active member of the Mederville Cemetery Association, and a social member of the Royal Neighbors at Mederville.

The funeral service was held at the home on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. C. T. Brewster officiating. Members of the Order of the Eastern Star assisted in the service at the grave in the Mederville cemetery.
