Arthur Lehne died suddenly of heart trouble at his home here early last Thursday morning. He was found dead in bed by his wife. He had not been ill, and therefore his sudden death came as a shock , not only to his family but to all in this community. Mr. Lehne was born in the state of Ohio on February 28, 1905. He also resided at St. Paul, Minn., for a time. In 1922 he came to Guttenberg with his parents to make his home, and where the remainder of his life was spent. Eight years ago he was married to Miss Lydia H________, at Guttenberg. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm in Jefferson township, later returning to this place. For some time Mr. Lehne was engaged in the ___ business here. He was a member of the Rescue Fire company of this place. His untimely death is mourned by his wife, one son, Arthur, Jr., one daughter, ____, at home; his parents, ___ and Mrs. Emil Lehne, of D____n, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Ed Lan____of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. __y ______ of Strawberry Point, and Misses Agnes and Irene Lehne of D____n, Iowa. and numerous other relatives and friends, by whom he will sadly be missed. On Thursday evening the body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H_______ in Jefferson township, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. ____ Peters, Saturday afternoon, with interment in the city cemetery. The funeral was largely attended. The family has the sympathy of all in this community.
