GUTTENBERG: Earl Wentworth, one of this communities highly regarded residents, passed away at his farm home in Millville township on Tuesday evening of last week at 6:10 o'clock at the age of 44 years, five months and 19 days, following an illness of a long duration. Mr. Wentworth was born on a farm in Millville township on March 2, 1890, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wentworth, both deceased. With the exception of a few years when he resided in North Dakota, his entire ambitious and true Christian life was spent in this community. On December 14, 1912, he was united in marriage with Miss Elzina Wathen. During his illness with asthma and heart trouble Mr. Wentworth was a patient sufferer, and had hopes for recovery until the end. To do acts of kindness for hs family and friends was his greatest pleasure in life at all times, which won him many friends, by whom his memories will be forever cherished. His death is deeply mourned by his wife, one daughter, Doris, at home; one brother, Edward Wentworth, of Albia, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends, who will all sadly miss this good and true Christian man. One brother has preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Russell Hanson, of Colesburg, at the Goshen church in Millville township, on Friday afternoon, with interment in the Goshen cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near.
