Clayton County Register, Thur., 07 Jun. 1934.

Burial services were held here Monday afternoon at Hill Crest cemetery for Mrs. John Volquartz who died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will O'Brien in Elkader. Mrs. Volquartz lived near here on a farm with her family a number of years ago.

(Note: WPA records indicate Wilhelmina Volquardts, 1868 - 1934, buried in Hill Crest cemetery.)
