Clayton County Register, Thur., 07 June 1934.

The funeral of Patrick Glennon, who died last Friday, was held on Monday at Sacred Heart church at Cox Creek. Rev. P. J. Boyle, pastor, celebrated the requiem mass and preached an eloquent sermon.

Patrick Henry Glennon, the eldest in a family of eleven children of the late Timothy and Anna Glennon, was born August 15, 1852, at Blairsville, Penn., and passed away, after one week's illness at the home of his brother William, Friday, May 25, 1934, having reached the age of 81 years and ten months.

His early years were spent as a store-keeper in McGregor and Minneapolis, Minn. At the age of 40 years he went to North Dakota, later purchasing a 320 acre farm upon which the small town of Roseglen was built and named after Mr. Glennon. He lived on his farm for 20 years, returning in the year 1914 to the old homestead, where he lived the remainder of his life with his brother John and sister Mary.

He suffered a slight paralytic stroke about a week before his death, and everything possible was done to comfort him. He passed to his reward consoled by the last rites of his church, of which he had been a devout member. Mr. Glennon was a truly honest and kind-hearted man. The last few months he had been deeply grieved over the recent deaths of his brother and sister, but he bore it all with resignation to the will of God, and firmly trusted that in a short time they would all be again united in Heaven.

Besides his parents, seven of the family preceded him in death, his four sisters, Mary, Mrs. Michael Hannon, Mrs. M. J. Conboy and Kathryn, who died in infancy; three brothers, Michael, James and John. Three brothers survive: William and Peter of Volga and Timothy of Strawberry Point. Interment was in Sacred Heart cemetery at Cox Creek.

The casket bearers were: Daniel Ivory, Robert Henry, John Hock, Sr., Frank Burke, Wm. Byrnes and Thomas Boland.
