Strawberry point: Mrs. Annie Fritz, past 87 years old, was found dead in bed Tuesday morning at the home of her son-in-law, L. J. Petersen
Anne Steinhilber was born in Germany, November, 1846. at the age of 18 she came to the States with Professor Futschel to make her home with her uncle, Gotlieb Steinhilber. In 1869 she was married to Barnhardt Fritz and to this union were born three children: Barnhardt, Henry and Anne R.
Twenty-three years ago she came to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. L. J. Petersen, south of Strawberry point.
Two children preceded her in death, Henry in 1923, and Mrs. L. J. (Anne) Petersen, Dec. 24, 1933. One son and four grandchildren, Mrs. V. L. (Minnie) Madison of Edgewood; Louis, Floyd, and Helen Petersen of strawberry Point, and one great-grandchild, Curtis Lew Madison, survive her.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Gill funeral chapel, Rev. T. Richardson, pastor of the Congregational church of Edgewood, officiating. Interment was made in Strawberry Point cemetery.
