Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Mar. 1905. Littleport column.

A young son of Joe Thurn, thirteen years old, was buried here Tuesday. He had been a patient sufferer for some time with rheumatism. Although the weather was extremely stormy, the funeral was quite large and his remains were laid to rest in the Littleport cemetery.

Burial is in Sacred Heart cemetery, Littleport. Father likely was familiarly known as Joe.
