Neylan, Michael 1820 - 1905

NEYLAN, NEYLON, MORAN, KELEHER

On Monday last at the home of his son John, in this township, Michael Neylon passed away in the sleep that knows no awakening in this life. Mr. Neylon was born in County Clare, Ireland, in 1820, and at the time of his death had reached the advanced age of 85 years. He came to America about 1846, and after visiting almost every part of the country settled down in Highland twp., where he purchased forty acres of land. Later he bought more land in Boardman township. He was a quiet unassuming man, respected by all, having been a resident of this township for over fifty years.

Deceased is survived by his aged wife, his son John, and two daughters, Mrs. Peter Moran, of Struble, Ia., and Mrs. John Keleher, of Boardman township, and a number of grandchildren.

The funeral was held yesterday at St. Joseph's church and was attended by a large number of friends and neighbors.
