Our community was shocked Sunday to hear of the death of J. R. Beddow, of Updegraff, who died Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. The deceased was 71 years of age and has been a resident of Clayton county for over fifty years. He lived an honorable and upright life and was one of God's noble men, there are no better men than J. R. Beddow was - noble, generous and of a jolly disposition he counted his friends by the score. The funeral took place Wednesday and was very largely attended. He leaves a wife and two grown up sons to mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent husband and father. May he rest in peace.
