Elkader Register, Thur., 29 sept. 1904. North McGregor column.

Died, at her home in this city, Thursday evening, Sept. 22nd, Mrs. Emma Hart, aged 37 years, 9 months and 9 days. Emma Elizabeth Hunter was born in Fennimore, Grant Co., Wis., Dec. 13th, 1866. She came with her parents to Ion in 1870, and remained there until her marriage with James Hart, in Prairie du Chien, March 29th, 1884. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and four children. The sympathy of everyone is extended to the sorrowing ones in this sad hour. The funeral services were held in the M.E. church Saturday afternoon.
