Died - Monday evening, May 2nd, at 7:20 o'clock, at his home 2 1/2 miles north-west of Monona, Mr. Max J. Walch. Funeral this morning at St. Patrick's church.

Max J. Walch was born in Monona township, Clayton county, Iowa, May 28th, 1877: died Monday evening at 7:20 o'clock, May 2nd, 1904, aged 26 years, 11 months and 4 days. He was the oldest son of Margarette and Sebastian Walch, was brought up on a farm and received a common school education.
Max Walch was united in marriage to Frances M. Bromelkamp, February 18th, 1903, and with her resided on a farm 2 1/2 miles west of Monona, which ever since has been their home.
He was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic church, and will be remembered by all as a loving friend, husband and son, and surely we can say he has gone to receive the reward of righteousness. His sickness was a sudden attack of short duration.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, father and mother, three brothers and three sisters and a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral was held Thursday at the Catholic church, Father Hogan officiating. The funeral was largely attended.
