Martha Thompson Madden died Sunday morning aged about 60 years. For two years or more she has suffered with cancer and other complications, and death came as a blessed relief. Her life has been spent here since girlhood. Her husband, George W. Madden and two daughters survive her. Her daughter Effie lives at Forest City, and because of her illness could not attend the funeral, but her husband, John D. Nickson, came. The daughter Cora lives at home and has been ministering to the suffering on all these months. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, Rev. G. A. Francis officiating. Her own pastor, Rev. D. C. Dutton is away. There was a large attendance and many beautiful flowers.
