Died at the home of her grandchild John Harnack, Jr., Wednesday, Dec. 17, Mrs. Marie Hahn at the advanced age of 92 years, 7 months and 11 days. She was born in Goerden, Mecklenburg Schwerin, May _ (looks like 5, 6 or 8), 1810. She with three of her children emigrated to this country in 1867, settling in Garnavillo township, where she has resided since. Mrs. Hahn is survived by two children, Fred Hahn, of Remsen, and Mrs. Joe Harnack, of Wagner, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services occurred at St. Paul's church Friday, Rev. Braun conducting the services. Interment took place in the new cemetery by the side of the grave of her daughter, Mrs. John Harnack, Sr.

Sexton records of the Garnavillo City cemetery, New Garnavillo Cemetery burial & lot record book has an entry for "Grandma Harnack", block 2, lot owner John Harnack. No other info. given --- this burial is more than likely Marie Hahn.
