Thomas Francis Weipert Jr., 57, of Farmersburg, Iowa died Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Thomas Francis was born September 13, 1963 to Thomas Sr. and Velma (Merchant) Weipert in Iowa City, Iowa. He attended Lansing Kee-High through the ninth grade.

Throughout the years, Thomas worked as a Carpenter in construction and also at Monona Wire. Thomas was an avid outdoorsman and a handyman. He enjoyed fishing, camping and mushroom hunting. He was a throat cancer survivor.

Surviving Thomas are his siblings, Cindy Vanderbilt of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Tina Killen of Batesville, Arkansas, Tammy Hammer of Arondale, Colorado and Trisha (Howard) Jones of Harpers Ferry, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Sharon Hammer, Terry Hammer, Ben Jones, Levi Jones, Jeremy Vanderbilt and Kyle Vanderbilt; eight great-nephews and one great niece; and his aunt and uncle, Susan Rayos of San Antonio, Texas and Richard Rice of Thompson, Illinois.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Velma Weipert.

A public visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Lansing, Iowa.
Inurnment will follow the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in New Albin, Iowa.
A luncheon will be held after the burial at the New Albin Community Center in New Albin, Iowa.
Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Lansing, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
