Elkader Register, Thur., 05 Jun. 1902. Littleport column.

Mrs. C. Lucy died June 1st, after a lingering illness, aged 75 years. She leaves an aged husband and six children to mourn her. They are: Mrs. Henry Wiley, Mrs. Elmer Michael and Michael, of Edgewood; John, D. F., and Mary at home. The funeral was held Tuesday, Rev. Father Minogue officiating. She had long been an active and earnest member of the Catholic church at this place and her remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery here.

(Note: WPA records show Bridget Lucey, 1827 - 01 Jun. 1902, buried in Sacred Heart cemetery.)
