Elkader Register, Thur., 15 May 1902.

After an illness of four weeks with pneumonia, Francis, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Costigan, died Saturday evening, May 10th, 1902. Everything that medical skill and tender care could do was done to save the little one, and the weeks have passed amid hope and fear. But alas, He that doeth all things well deemed it best that the little angel should come to Him. The loss of children is a hard thing for loving parents to submit to, but it is inevitable, and their only consolation is the great heartfelt sympathy of friends and the thought that it may be for the best. Poor consolation, but it is all we have.

The funeral Monday afternoon was largely attended by sympathizing friends of the family, services being held by Rev. Father Minogue, of Elkport, at St. Joseph church.
