Elkader Register, Thur., 06 Feb. 1902. Garnavillo column.

DIED- Wednesday evening, Jan. 29th, 1902, aged one year and one month, Mabel Schafer, infant daughter of Fred Schafer and wife nee Martha Rehburg, after a short illness. Death resulted from convulsions. The funeral occurred Saturday afternoon, Rev. Sommerlad conducting the services, after which the little body was laid to rest in the old cemetery. The grief stricken parents have the sympathy of our community.
