Elkader Register, Thur., 06 Feb. 1902. Strawberry Point column.

S. Opperman, who has been sick for some time, died at the home of his son, Gus, last Saturday evening. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Monday, Rev. G. Graf officiating.

(Note: WPA records indicate Henry A. Opperman, 1822 - 01 Feb. 1902, buried in Strawberry Point cemetery.)
