DIED - Oglesbee - At her residence in this place, on Monday, August 1_th, 1879, of heart disease, Mrs. Hannah Oglesbee, aged 67 years, 4 months and 1 week.

Mrs. Oglesbee was born in Virginia, April 11th, 1812, and was married to her husband, who survives her, August 1_th, 1832; her 47th wedding anniversary occurring on Saturday last. To them 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl, were born, 3 of whom are now living. In 18__, Mr. Oglesbee with his wife removed to Strawberry Point, and in 18_1, came to Elkader, where they have resided ever since.

During her long residence here Mrs. Oglesbee has made a large number of friends, who will regret to learn of her death. She was known to all as a kind mother, a loving wife and a good neighbor. She has been ailing for a long time and during her last sickness the neighbors and friends did all in their power to make her last days on earth as pleasant as possible. The funeral occurred at 10 o'clock Tuesday, and was largely attended. Rev. C. Cressy officiated.
