Elkader Register, Thur., 07 Aug. 1879.

DIED- Miss Phoebe Palmer, daughter of John Palmer, died at the residence of her father in this twp., Tuesday, August 5th, of consumption.

Miss Palmer was a very estimable young lady, and had, by her kind manners won many friends, all of whom greatly mourn her death. The funeral occurred yesterday afternoon, and was largely attended. Out of respect to her, the Normal Institute held no session Wednesday afternoon.
