August Quade, an inmate of the county home, died there Tuesday, aged about 75 years. He had been admitted to that institution May 30th. Burial was at the County Home.

Notes: He served in the Civil War & was a POW at Andersonville. More info. in the military section of the Clayton co. website, in his entry on the Civil War Honor Roll
