Died, May 28th, 1899, of catarrh of the stomach, Mrs. John Fitzpatrick at her home in Kimbrae, Minn.

Lizzie Doran was born in Clayton Co., Iowa, Dec. 23, 1868, and was therefore 31 years, 5 months and 3 days old at the time of her death. She was one of Clayton county's successful teachers and was well and favorably known for her good qualities. She was married to John Fitzpatrick Feb. 23, 1892, and resided on a farm near Volga City until about three years ago when with her husband she moved to Minnesota, where she resided at the time of her death. Lizzie, as she was familiarly known, had hosts of friends in Clayton county, as well as in Minnesota, who will be sorry to hear of her death. She leaves her husband in Minnesota, her parents, five brothers and four sisters in Clayton Co. to mourn her death.

Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved husband and parents in their hour of sorrow, but what is our loss is Heaven's gain, and we find sympathy in the thought that her life's suffering is past, and she is happy and free from all earthly care in that sleep that knows no waking.
