Added by S. Ferrall 1/2/2021:

Again the messenger of death comes among us. Miss Lulu Belle Holden was born at Emmetsburg, Iowa, Nov. 6th, 1875, died June 16th, 1899, at the age of 24 years.

She was the youngest daughter of Alida and Ed. Holden.

Lulu was a sufferer for many years, she was ever patiend and kind to those about her. Last Friday she passed through the portals of the Golden gate to that eternal rest that so many sufferers here long to enter, where there is no more pain.

The funeral occurred Sunday under the auspices of the Christian Science church.
