The funeral services of Mrs. Matilda Beaver were held in the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon, burial at Pleasant Grove cemetery. Deceased was an old resident here - then Mrs. Castle. Several years ago she went to Minneapolis to live with her daughter and died there. Her son Ed. Castle, of Grundy Center, and daughter Mrs. Eliza Weisenberger, of Prairie du Chien, were here to attend the funeral. She leaves two other sons and another daughter to mourn her loss. She was 67 yeas old.

Notes:
-WPA records indicate Matilda Castle, 1833 - 1899, buried in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
-1st husband was Joshua Castle who died in 1870
