At her home 3 miles south of Volga City on last Friday morning occurred the death of Nancy Voshell, wife of Clint Benedict. The subject of this sketch was born in Fayette county Sept. 15th, 1873, where she grew to womanhood; in 1895 she married Clint Benedict. She was a good wife and highly esteemed neighbor. Her husband, father, mother, one sister and five brothers are left to mourn the loss of a loving companion. Funeral services were held in the Stone school house on last Saturday, Rev. J. K. Shiffer officiating and was attended by many sympathizing friends who came to pay their last tribute of respect, yet only those who have seen their loved ones "go down into the valley of death," can fully comprehend what it means. "Such is life and its destiny."

Note: She died after giving birth to a son, who also died.
