Elkader Register, Thur., 23 Feb. 1899. Local News columns.

Lucy, the third daughter of John Neylon of this township, died Monday afternoon at the age of about 7 years, from pneumonia, funeral was held Wednesday at St. Joseph's. Mr. Neylon and his family have been sorely stricken and the sympathy of our people goes out to them in their bereavement.

An error in the obit/death notice is noted in the newspaper on 02 Mar. 1899, that she was "the fifth daughter", rather than "the third daughter", as originally stated in the issue of 23 Feb. 1899.
