Elkader Register, 12 Jan. 1899. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Warren B. Holbert occurred last Tuesday. He had been ailing about a year, but had attended to business until last week Wednesday when he took to his bed, and suffered considerably until death relieved him of his pain. He leaves a wife, a daughter and one son to mourn his loss. A son preceded him in death last spring.
