This community was shocked on last Tuesday when the word passed through town that James Cassidy, the eighteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Cassidy, of near Mederville, was dead. James was a general favorite in the community, having resided here until five years ago, and his death came as a distinct shock to everybody. A large number from here attended the funeral which was held at Cox Creek on Friday morning. The sympathy of everybody goes to Mr. and Mrs. Cassidy in their bereavement.
