Clayton County Register, Thur., 18 Apr., 1929. Mederville column.

The death of Mrs. Annie Carpenter, wife of John J. Carpenter, occurred April 6th at Strawberry Point, Iowa. She is survived by her husband and three children, Loyd E. Wesley and Harriet of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Hazel Remboldt of West Allis, Wisconsin. She also leaves two brothers, Ernest Marshall of Dubuque and Wesley Marshall of Littleport, and a sister, Mrs. Janie Schmidt of Strawberry Point. Funeral services were held April 8th from the home and burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter formerly conducted the general store at Mederville.
