Clayton County Register, Thur., 11 Apr. 1929.
Anna May Minihan died at her home in Highland township Saturday, April 6, after a brief illness of two weeks' duration.
The deceased was born and raised in Highland township, receiving her early training in the rural schools of that community and in St. Joseph's school in Elkader, from which she graduated. Since her graduation she has been very actively interested in the school work and has often assisted them, both with her moral and personal support. With the passing of Miss Minihan, the school feels that they have lost one of the best friends they have.
She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. James Bergan of Volga City, Margaret, Mary and Johanna, all at home, one brother, Patrick, at home.
The funeral was held from St. Joseph's Catholic church Tuesday, April 9, Rev. James P. Taken officiating. Interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Fran L. Leehy, Elizabeth and John Sheehy, of Clermont, and Mrs. Jane McCue.
