Elkader Register, Thur., 02 July 1925. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Gertrude Schuchman aged 7 years occurred at the home Saturday morning. The little child was taken sick about a year ago with rheumatism and never fully recovered. Loving hands administered to her wants and everything that could be done was done but to no avail. She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Schuchman, besides her brothers and sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her early death. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. Fritschel. Interment took place in our beautiful cemetery.
