Elkader Register, Thur., 28 May 1925.

Mrs. Alma E. McDowell, wife of Grant McDowell of near Garber died at Finley Hospital, at Dubuque Sunday morning, following a short illness.

She was born in Clayton county, November 5, 1890, and resided in this county all her life. She was united in marriage to Grant McDowell December 21, 1910. To this union were born five children.

She is survived by her husband, four children, Eleanor, Florence, Pauline, and Howard, all at home, four brothers, John Rodas, Guttenberg, Charles and Frank Rodas at Garber, and Fred Rodas at Elkader.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from the home at Garber, conducted by Rev. Meyer of Wood. Burial was in Mt. Harmony cemetery.
