Lois May Smith was born at Elkader, Iowa, May 8th, 1866, and died at her home in Colesburg, May 10th, 1925, after several months of affliction
She was the daughter of William D. and Eliza Smith. Her early life was spent with her parents near Elkader. Later, as a young woman, she taught school at Osterdock.
She was married to Mr. Perry J. Bolsinger, and to this union were born six children, two sons and four daughters. One of the sons passing to the Eternal world in early childhood, the rest of the children are living, and with the father and husband to mourn the loss of a devoted, kind, mother and wife. She also leaves two brothers; one in South Dakota, and one in the state of Washington. The daughters, Mrs. George Portwine, Mrs. Henry Meyers and Mrs. Vern Shaw, live in Elkader, Mrs. Elmer Funk lives near Colesburg, William lives near Mitchel, South Dakota.
Mrs. Bolsinger was a devoted Christian woman, uniting with the reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, several years ago, and lived a devoted life till death finished her work on earth.
