Elkader Register, Thur., 19 Feb. 1925.

Mrs. Frank Rohwedder, a resident of Garnavillo township, passed away at the home of her son Henry last Monday, aged 68 years. Deceased was born in Germany, later coming to America, settling in Clayton county, Iowa. She was married to Frank Rohwedder, who with seven children survives her. The children are Henry and Louis of Garnavillo township and Herman of Elkader, Mrs. Hugo Harberg, Mrs. William Dettman and Miss Mabel Rohwedder of Garnavillo, Mrs. Henry Schaefer of Emery, S.D., and Mrs. Mary Staade of Farmersburg, and Mrs. William Duwe of Postville.

Mrs. Rohwedder was a member of the Lutheran church. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Garnavillo on Thursday afternoon, Rev. K. Wm. Braun officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Garnavillo cemetery.
