George V. Harrington, 93, died Friday, March 1, at the Great River Care Center in McGregor. He owned the Burke Hotel and Restaurant in Marquette for 40 years before retiring in 1959.

Survivors include two sons, Andy of Marquette and Gregg of Culver City, CA; one daughter, June Viet of Rosenberg, TX; two sisters, Ruth Evans and Stella Spence, both of Chicago; one brother, LeRoy of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Thornburg Funeral Home in McGregor was in charge of arrangements. Masonic services were held at &:30 p.m. on Sunday, and the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with military honors.
