Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 12 Nov. 1897. Local scrap Bag columns.

DIED - Monday morning, Nov. 8th, 1897, Michael, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Uriell, passed away to be with the vast throng on the other shore. The little cherub was not for this world and it wrings the hearts of his parents and Grandpa Michael Uriell that they are called to part with their little treasure just as they had opened hearts and arms to receive him. The sweet sympathy of friends is pleasant to have, and that of this community goes out to the bereaved ones in all its earnestness, but it fails to heal the bruised and sad hearts. We hope that "He who tempers the storm" may find some consoling thought for the sorrowing family. After a short service at St. Joseph's church on Tuesday, all that was mortal of little Michael was laid away in the Catholic cemetery at Garnavillo.
