There comes to us the sad news of the death of Mrs. Harriet J. Oldham, wife of U. W. Oldham, and sister of T. H. Studebaker. She died Monday Oct. 11, in Mallory township, where she has passed the whole of the thirty-eight years of her life. She was the mother of eight children, four of whom survive. By her death they have lost a loving, helpful parent, one who was ever true to the best interests of her children. A member of the church of the United Brethren, by most active, efficient work together with a daily life of Christian self sacrifice and devotion, the deceased had won for herself the respect and love of all who knew her. The funeral services were held in the church of the United Brethren Tuesday at 11 a.m., the pastor, Rev. Emerson, officiating. - North Iowa Times.
