Elkader Register, Thur., 20 Dec. 1900.
On Sunday, Dec. 16th, in Marion twp., occurred the death of Newell Henry, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Cook. He was born July 17, 1900, and had always been well until Wednesday of last week when he was taken sick and on Sunday at 11 o'clock a.m., departed this life. Everything possible was done for the little sufferer but to no avail. But God knows best when He bids the little children come unto Him.
The funeral was held Tuesday morning at the Congregational church at Elkader, Rev. G. W. Baxter officiating.
