Elkader Register, Thur., 04 Oct. 1900. Littleport column.

It is with profound sorrow that we chronicle the death of Mrs. John Rohn, which occurred Monday morning, after an illness of only a few hours and before medical aid could be secured. It is sad indeed where the mother is taken from the home and family in health and without warning. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn the sudden call and the aching void for which there is no substitute. The sincere sympathy of all go out to the sorrowing family in their sad affliction. The funeral was held Wednesday and the remains laid to rest in the Littleport cemetery. May they rest in peace.
