At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Thos. B. Matthews, at 11:30 Wednesday, May 30th, 1900, occurred the death of Annie C. Ploog, at the advanced age of 84 years. Deceased was born at Cologne, Germany, April 6, 1816, and came to this county in 1866. Of her twelve children six survive to mourn her departure, three sons, Henry and Joseph at North McGregor, and Gustave, and three daughters, Mrs. Maggie Heinbuckle, Norwood; Mrs. Kate Stumpf, Rich Prairie, Minn., and Mrs. Thos. B. Matthews of Elkader. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) morning at St. Joseph's church.
