Elkader Register, Thur., 15 Mar. 1900. Froom the Democrat.

Mrs. Mathias Schoepf, nee Hannah Heiden, died at her home near this city on Thursday last, aged 26 years, 10 months and 29 days. She was born in Clayton Co., April 9th, 1874. She leaves a husband and three small children, one girl and two boys, the youngest 2 1/2 years and the oldest 6 years of age, making it rather hard for them and for their father. We sympathize most heartily with the bereaved father and children, and time only can heal up the wounds caused by the young wife and mother being so rudely torn from this life. But we hope they may find comfort in the fact that death is not a separation. Funeral services were held Sunday morning, Rev. Fritchel, of Elkport, preaching in German, followed by Rev. Baxter, of this cityy, in English. - Democrat.
