Elkader Register, Thur., 15 Feb. 1900. McGregor column.

Mrs. Jennie Goddard died at her home on Garnavillo Ave. Monday morning, of pneumonia, after an illness lasting about ten days. She was born in Pennsylvania sixty years ago, and in 1862 was married to A. M. Goddard, who died about twenty years ago. Their home has been in McGregor since 1868. One daughter has died, and four sons survive the loss of a kind mother, Fred S. of Ellendale, S.D., Herbert J. of this city, Louis A. of North McGregor, and Robert of Portland, Oregon. The boys and an uncle, S. McManus, of Darlington, were all present for the last sad rites. The funeral was held at the Congregational church Thursday morning.
