DIED - At the home of his father, P.H. O'Brien, Wednesday, April 23rd, 1902, Dan J. O'Brien.

Deceased was born October 17, 1874 in this city. He attended the McGregor High School until 1891 when he started to work in M.T. Kennedy's Drug Store where he remained three years, then going to Des Moines where he attended Highland Park Normal College, graduating in chemistry and pharmacy in 1896.

He then went to Chicago and after remaining there a year went to Bridgewater, N. Dak., and engaged in the drug business with his uncle, the late P.H. Hunt who died last month. A year ago his health began to fail with that dread disease consumption; in company with his mother he went to Colorado in hope of recovery; they returned home last fall.

He leaves his parents, three sisters and three brothers to mourn his early death. Funeral services were held Friday at St. Mary's church. The Order of foresters attending in a body.
