LEROY FREDRICK KUEHL
Funeral services were held for LeRoy Fredrick Kuehl, 77. Strawberry Point, July 29, 1982. at Hope Lutheran Church, Littleport, with burial in the Union Cemetery. Pastor John Sersland officiated and pallbearers were Dale Sylvester, Delbert Hughes, Marvin Hakert, Marvin Hakert, Earl Hakert, and William Dahling.
He was born in Elkport April 2,1905, the son of William and Emma Kuehl and educated in rural schools. On November 28, 1928, he married Irma Nading at the parsonage in Elkport. They became the parents of seven children and farmed in the Littleport area. He died at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, July 26,1982.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Hope Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Irma; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mardell) Homewood, Rockwell City, Mrs. Val Dean (Pat) Lange, Elkader, and Mrs. Ronald (Barb) Peake, Farmersburg; three sons, Lawrence of Strawberry Point, Dale of Austin, Texas, and Douglas, Alburnett; 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Mrs. Viola Russow; a brother, Raymond and a daughter, Sandra, who both in infancy.
