Funeral services were held on Sunday at the Bethel church for George W. White, lifelong resident of Osterdock, who died last Thursday afternoon following a long illness. Services were conducted by Rev. W. F. Domres of St. John's Lutheran Chruch in Guttenberg.
Burial was in the Bethel cemetery in charge of the Beerman Funeral services, with the following as pallbearers; Ira Friedlein, William Moser, Dean Mallory, George Moser, Charles Moser and Elmer Meyer.
Mr. White was born November 17, 1867 the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. White. On December 2, 1891 he married Eldora McSpern* at Osterdock, who survives him, along with one son, Walter White also a resident of Osterdock.
Mr. White had lived in and around Osterdock throughout his life, with the exception of five years when he worked for the railroad.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. White and his son are four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

I believe that GW White's wife's surname was McSperrin not McSpern as printed above. I would be interested in corresponding with others researching the George White family of this area.
