Elkader Register, Thur., 09 Feb. 1922. Strawberry Point column.
Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Eckhart who have been staying with the latter's mother Mrs. Mary A. Hesner, for some time, were the proud parents of a baby boy "Robert Dewey" born Sunday but the little one lived but a short time. Short services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Hesner home by Rev. Kirbry, pastor of the M.E. church and the remains of their darling babe were laid to rest in the local cemetery. Beautiful white flowers covered the little white casket but the loveliest of all was the beautiful rosebud that the Heavenly Father plucked for the home over there.
We call it death but -
There is no death. The stars go down
To rise upon the other shore,
And bright in Heavens jeweled crown
They shine forever more.
