Funeral services for Andrew J. Hesner, 84 years, of near Manchester, were held here Friday afternoon at the Gill Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. T. J. Elwick, pastor of the M.E. church. The pall bearers were Louie Zahrndt ad Phin Wandell of Edgewood, R. C. Norris, George Kramer, G. W. Barr and Rich Laity. Interment was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Andrew J., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hesner, Sr., was born at Springville, Wisconsin, January 11, 1850. He came to Deleware county with his parents when a child and the family settled at Edgewood. He was united in marriage to Miss Maria Hetherington at Manchester November 26, 1872. The home was made at Manchester for a number of years where he operated a black smith shop. Mrs. Hesner passed away about eleven years ago. Mr. Hesner passed away Wednesday night of pneumonia. He is survived by one brother, John W. Hesner of Strawberry Point and other relatives.
