Mrs. Carl Seeland, who died at her home in Wagner township Saturday, December 9th, after an illness of three months, was buried in the old cemetery at Clayton Center Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Berthold Korte, pastor of the Zion's church of that place officiating.
Dorothea Fascher was born May 22, 1860, in Klein Boister, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heinrich Fascher. March 16, 1877, she was united in marriage with Carl Seeland at Clayton Center and to this union eleven children were born. The children surviving the mother are: Henry, of Boardman; Charles, of Wagner; Ella Gottschalk, of Boardman; William, of Wagner; Louis, of Boardman. Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1920.
The deceased came to this country from Germany in 1872, first settling in Clayton Center, but since the time of her marriage she has lived on the farm where she died.
In addition to her surviving children there are fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren to mourn her death.
