DIED - on Pleasant Ridge, Aug 1st, Mathias Mead, aged 58 years after an illness of six months.

Mr. Mead was born in the state of New York January 12th, 1830, has been a resident of Pleasant Ridge for a number of years, he was a good citizen and a man respected by all who knew him.

He leaves a wife, two daughters and one son to mourn the loss of a kind husband and dutiful father who have the sympathy of the community in this their sad bereavement.

Burial in Oakland cemetery.

Note: His wife was nee Sarah Moore. Oakland is aka Pleasant Grove cemetery
